Speedplay extender plate instructions

STEPS TO FIT YOUR PLATES
- FORM extender plates replace the stock Speedplay base plates supplied with your cleats.
- You will need to reuse the blue stock wedges from the original base plate, ensuring they sit flush with the FORM extender plate. These wedges might require trimming in some areas due to the non-standard design of the FORM plates. Please see the graphic below showing where this might need to be done.
- Use the supplied Torx countersunk screws to attach the extender plate to your shoe. Important: ensure you have used a screw which is long enough – front and rear holes could require different lengths.
- Establish your preferred fore/aft position and tighten the plate down, making sure that the flat side of the blue wedges are flush with the plate, and that the curved side of the wedges match the curve of the shoe.
- Use the supplied 6mm Phillips screws to attach your cleat to the base plate, using your preferred set of threaded attachment holes (if multiple options are available). It is recommended that you use thread lock fluid (not supplied) on the screws to prevent them from loosening.
- Establish your preferred medial/lateral cleat position and tighten down the screws. Check the tightness of the Phillips screws after the first and second rides and from time to time after that.
