Volume reducer insole blank
Description
The FORM volume reducer insole blanks are a versatile and cost effective product which can be used for:
- Reducing the volume of space inside a shoe when it's too big for the rider
- Adding under the forefoot as an internal leg length shim
- Adding under the heel as a heel lift
- Adding to the mid section as a way of reducing toe lift
As a volume reducer:
If your shoes are too large for either one or both feet, adding a volume reducer can instantly provide a tighter fit and a better sense of security for the foot. A good fit inside the shoe is essential to maintain the best foot-head relationship. Any perceived instability by the brain will compromise the way you pedal.
As a shim:
If additional shimming is required over and above an external (cleat) shim, the volume reducer can be used on one side for up to 3mm additional height. This is dependent on how much space is available inside the shoe.
As a heel lift:
Some riders require a heel lift to optimise the pedal stroke. This is most often diagnosed by a bikefitter. In this case the volume reducer can be trimmed for just the rear of the foot for this purpose.
